Did you know that Hathaway have a patient participation group?
Hathaway PPG is a group of people who volunteer their time to try and improve the Patient/Surgery experience, to help patients have a better understanding and knowledge of the practice, how it runs and the staff involved in the different departments. The Group, together with the Practice, endeavours to help patients take more responsibility for their own health and promotes understanding of long term health conditions. The Group listens to the Patients and moves forward with plans to increase the effectiveness of the services provided, endeavours to improve healthcare and ensure that the patient view is always represented.
The PPG recently organised a very successful “Back Pain Management” Evening at the Surgery which was very well attended. This was led by a local Consultant Spinal Surgeon and followed up by a Physiotherapist who gave “Self Help” tips for back pain sufferers.
Do you want to be involved in this friendly and motivated Group?
If so then please email the Secretary on PPG.Hathaway@nhs.net.
We are delighted to report what a huge success the ladies Health Promotion evening was last night which was organised by Hathaway Patient Participation Group. We saw over 40 ladies turn up for a presentation by our Nurse Practitioner which was very informative. The evening finished with a Q&A session and lots of positive feedback.
